Lil Rev Workshop and Concert

Lil Rev returns to San Luis Obispo for a workshop and concert starting at 6:30 pm at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, 1010 Broad Street, in downtown San Luis Obispo (near the Mission). Tickets will be available through the Museum of Art web site.

The Leadbelly's Blues & Boogie workshop will feature songs, history and ukulele techniques. After the workshop there will be a short break, and then he will entertain us with stories and songs.

Lil Rev is one of our favorite entertainers and teachers. He has visited San Luis Obispo several times, and he always has new tales and new techniques to teach us. He's written a series of how-to-play-ukulele books (his latest features fiddle tunes for the ukulele). Lil Rev specializes in American music: Folk tunes, blues, Tin Pan Alley and jug band songs. In addition to ukulele, he plays harmonica, mandolin and guitar.
